About Helix Precision

Since its inception in 2003 Helix Precision has developed into one of the leading precision engineering companies in the north of England producing precision components and sub-assemblies to a broad and varied customer base, recently the company was approved to As9100D aerospace accreditation and will utilise this accreditation to expand its client base further.

Helix Precision was established in Hull in 2003 by Lee Sansam and Matt Branton. The aim was to provide customers from varied industrial sectors with a reliable high quality service. This is achieved by the day to day running of the company being controlled by the Directors who own the company. The Directors believe a highly skilled and dedicated workforce is the key to ensuring customer satisfaction.

Helix has taken the approach to invest in the youth of today by continually recruiting apprentices and putting them through a full modern Advanced NVQ3 Apprenticeship, also passing on their own skills as much as possible. Creating a positive highly skilled work force. Today the company has 26 Employees many of which are time served engineers that have been fully trained within the company, we believe if other company’s adopted this approach within the UK we wouldn’t be seeing the skills gap present in todays industry.

Helix Precision has experienced rapid growth due to its continual investment in the latest CNC machinery and software, stringent quality control and its unrivalled customer service. Helix Precision is a progressive company that aims to continually improve manufacturing practices and seek out new market areas through the willingness to adapt and change. Each stage of production, including finishing, assembly and shipment, is closely monitored. Our expertise lies in tailoring a manufacturing solution to each client’s needs.

Using skilled staff with many years of combined experience together with a sharp customer focus, we can produce a cost-effective solution. From the beginning, the Directors philosophy has been to focus upon quality above all else; not just in the work produced but also in the staff employed.

Working to the Highest Standards

At Helix Precision we are committed to improving standards and producing cost effective products. We have been certified to BSI ISO 9001:2015 for many years and more recently added As9100D Aerospace approval meaning we are now dual certified. Since achieving this standard we have seen the benefit throughout the company at every level and our customers reap the benefit on a daily basis. Helix is also B.A.E Systems approved and has formed a strong customer/supplier relationship which has resulted in the company gaining significant contracts for B.A.E Systems.
